Services We Offer

EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction)

The term EPC refers to the provision of end-to-end solar facilities through the design of the system, the procurement of the components and the final installation of the plant, along with continuous support for maintaining the system. Solar panel installation is a long-term investment and so the process needs to be carried out with caution.

Engineering: This phase includes the analysis of customer requirements, site surveys, on-site weather reporting, structural design and the determination of power generation capacity. Following this, selection of the equipment, engineering design and 3D modelling of the proposed solar power plant is carried out.

Procurement: Solar EPC firms procure equipment and parts from local and global manufacturers.

Construction: The solar power plant construction operation includes installation of solar panels, accessories, grid/off-grid connectivity and the delivery of solar energy to the current customer's power supply system.

Solar Power Systems Installation

We offer you three different types of photovoltaic panel mounting structures.

First,  we survey your site. We determine the height of your building and carry out a shadow study of the tall structures in your vicinity. Careful inspection is carried out on the material of your roof and the durability of your pillars. This determines the weight-bearing capability of your roof.

Tin roof mounting:

We follow certain procedures to mount this structure on your metal roof. We ensure that the roof is watertight and that the tensile strength is capable of sustaining the load.

Ballast Structure:

Ballast structures are a flat roof mounting construction for a wide, levelled surface. This installation uses the roof as a foundation and the structure is relatively simple to build and can be pre-assembled for quick PV panel mounting.

Elevated structure:

Installing a solar system on the rooftops can leave very little room, hence the elevated structure will allow the use of space. In this situation, the panels can be mounted at a height of 10 to 20 feet depending on the specifications.

Financing ( OPEX / CAPEX )

We at Ortus offer you OPEX (RESCO) and CAPEX models for your solar power project. These two are entirely different monetary models for investment in solar power plants. OPEX refers to operational expenses, while CAPEX refers to capital expenditure.

OPEX Model:

In the OPEX model, you can instal a solar power plant on your roof by signing a Private Power Purchase Agreement (PPPA) with us. You can now reap the benefits of renewable energy without having to pay any of the extra costs associated with it. We'll pay you a monthly rent for using your rooftop. You will pay for the units you consume (pay per use) without being bothered with servicing and warranties.

We have partnered with Lesha Ventures, a Singapore based Finance company that has its presence in Power, Healthcare, Pharma, Biotech, Water, and Waste-water projects and Green Technologies. They support us by funding our projects.

CAPEX Model:

In the CAPEX model, you invest in the construction and installation costs of the solar plant and are responsible for its service and maintenance. The energy generated is for your own use and is now fully free of charge! This is a lucrative model for high and long-term savings.

AMC ( Maintenance )

Each Solar PV facility is a long-term investment that is considered to provide you with annual returns. Although, like any other investment, you need to ensure that the returns are optimal and that the valuation of your investments is secure.

A Solar PV installation that has not been cleaned for more than a month would give you a lower power output than its rated capacity. Power consumption can decline by as much as 30%.

There are also chances of outage and downtime due to component failure, electrical faults, etc. These are only a couple of activities that can directly impact your bottom line.

Hence, it is essential to take preventive measures and get timely maintenance of your solar PV installation.

Solar Power Optimization

Solar panels are silicon-based semiconductor materials that produce a current when there is an incident of light. Each PV panel consists of smaller solar cells which are connected in series to maximise the maximum voltage that can be produced from it.

If any object in the vicinity blocks a clear line from the sun, a shadow is cast on some of the cells in the panel. Now, without any event of radiation, the cells can serve as resistance to the present flow. This will heat up the cell, creating a hotspot. This will destroy the cell and render the entire PV panel worthless.

To stop this, a bypass diode is installed which is mounted parallel to the panel. If a shadow is cast, the current flows through this diode and the panel is made useless. In other words, the panel will be turned off.
